Citizenship by Investment in Malta

In Malta, there are two paths to citizenship through investment. If you make an investment of at least €600,000 after 36 months of residency in Malta or €750,000 in addition to €10,000 worth of donation to a registered non-governmental organization or society after residing in the country for 12 months you may apply for citizenship in Malta. Alternatively, if you buy a residential property worth at least €700,000 in Malta and hold it for a minimum of five years or rent a residential property whose annual rental value is over €16,000, you will be eligible to apply for citizenship in Malta. The important point here is that you must not sell or sublet this property for five years.

Eventually, if you qualify, this program will provide you and your family with the right to live, work or study in the EU. Additionally, you will get access to the public schools and universities in Malta for free as well as to a highly ranked healthcare system, funded by health insurance and taxation.
